Odisha High Court ASO Exam Scheme
The board will complete the selection of candidates in the selection process. Firstly candidates will have to appear for the Preliminary Written Examination then all qualified candidates will have to appear in the Mains Written Test after the candidates will need to show their skill in Computer Test followed by Viva-Voce (Interview)
Preliminary Test – This examination will be a qualifying exam where SC/ST candidates have to score a minimum score of 33% and candidates belonging to other categories need to score at least 40% marks. The weightage of the preliminary test will be 150 marks and it will have the same number of questions in Multiple Choice Question type format. Each correct answer will give candidates 01 marks and each wrong answer will attract a deduction of -0.50 marks. The question in the written examination will consist of topics from General English, Logical Reasoning, and Quantitative Aptitude.
Mains Written Test – This examination will be of 300 marks and it will too have questions from General English, Maths, and Reasoning & General Awareness. The general English section will be qualifying innates candidates just have score passing marks in this section. Apart from that, the candidates will get a total time of 120 minutes or two hours to solve the entire question paper.
Computer Application Test – So this is the test where the skill of computer will be tested of candidates. There will be two sections in this examination i.e. Practical Exam, Theory Exam. Each examination will be of 50 marks and candidates will get 30 minutes to attempt each test.
Viva-Voce – Now this is the final stage of the examination where the board will basically interview candidates for their suitability for the advertised vacancies.
